With our extensive experience of projects in the UK for major retailers, Quantum 4 were more than happy to give Tesco a little extra help when they established their new baby wear development in Bratislava.
What Tesco wanted
Tesco Baby World was set up as a new concept to fill a gap in Eastern European markets. Tesco were keen to establish the brand as the destination shop for baby wear in the fast-developing country of Slovakia. They intended to establish a shop-in-shop feel for the department, which was situated within a hypermarket format.
What Q4 created
Q4 designed and developed the prototype store in Bratislava. We created an essentially ‘department’ concept, delivered to very tight budget and timelines. We used standard fixtures, but were able to create a premium look, and were able to use more durable materials than normal, thus avoiding the need for bumper rails.
What we achieved
We developed and prototyped the first store installation in less than ten weeks. All equipment was manufactured in the UK for speed and quality control, but local installation teams were employed in Slovakia, under strict leadership by our project managers.
