EE (formerly Everything Everywhere) is now well known as a leading mobile network operator and Internet service provider. It’s the largest operator in the UK, with 590 stores across the country. Thanks to our previous experience with Orange, its predecessor, we were automatically the first call for the new-look operator, to assist with their store development.
What EE wanted
With three great brands – EE, Orange and T-Mobile – all under their one roof, EE had a lot of history to respect in terms of their store design and development. They wanted a company that could facilitate the need for customers to browse and go online, as well as interacting with live devices and enjoying demonstrations from staff.
What Q4 created
As part of the overall package, Q4 were able to supply in-store research, equipment design, development and prototyping, store trial and tender packs, all meeting sustainable design parameters.
What we achieved
We had to develop all store equipment from scratch, maintaining the concept’s premium look while ensuring functionality and durability throughout. The first store was completed in less than 12 weeks; a further two were completed in two weeks and a further two stores in two weeks after that. We created innovative security solutions for live handsets and accessories, and delivered the whole project significantly below budget.
