The Next chain is noted for some of the best clothing and footwear in the country. They’re the largest clothing retailer in the UK, having recently overtaken Marks & Spencer, and have been applying their fashion-conscious ethos to the supply of home products.
What Next wanted
Next asked Quantum 4 to assist with setting up a new electrical department for retailing small kitchen appliances like kettles, toasters and microwaves. The fixtures they needed were to show customers how Next products beautifully combine style and utility to help to make everyday life easier and more pleasant by adopting contemporary styles.
What Q4 created
We supplied concept visuals for the merchandising and display areas, including full manufacture and installation, observing the need to use sustainable techniques and materials. The scheme was designed to specifically enhance the stylish nature of those products on display.
What we achieved
Q4’s efforts were intended to drive footfall and improve the customer journey in the stores. Our proposals, including prototypes, tender packs and manufacturing of equipment and POP furniture design, had to be capable of rollout across 700 Next stores, of which 500 are in the UK and Ireland, with around 200 in continental Europe.
